My Family Support
Thank you for using My Family.
My Family helps you create, organize, and preserve family memories, including family-member profiles, written memories, photos, original recordings, conversations, stories, Family Archives, and Memory Book PDFs.
Getting Started
Create a family member to begin adding memories, photos, recordings, relationships, and stories.
Some AI-assisted features depend on supported Apple devices, system versions, languages, and Apple system capabilities. These features are optional and are not required to access your saved family memories.
Memories and Stories
You can create and manage family memories and use confirmed memories to organize timelines and create stories.
AI-assisted summaries, conversations, and story drafts may contain errors. Important family information should be reviewed before you rely on or preserve it as factual information.
Photos and Original Recordings
My Family can store photos and original recordings that you choose to associate with family memories.
Access to Photos, Microphone, or Speech Recognition is requested only when a feature requires the corresponding permission.
Permissions can be reviewed or changed in iOS Settings.
Personalized AI Voice
Personalized AI voice is optional.
It requires:
- a Voice Reference;
- explicit authorization for personalized voice generation; and
- installation of the optional local Voice Model.
AI-generated voice is identified separately from original recordings.
You can revoke personalized-voice authorization from within the app.
The Voice Model can also be removed without deleting your family memories.
Family Archive
My Family can create a .myfamilyarchive file containing supported family information and media for backup and preservation.
You can save the archive using the iOS Files interface and later import it into My Family.
Keep important archive files in a safe location.
Memory Book PDF
You can create a Memory Book PDF for reading, printing, or saving outside My Family.
PDF files and Family Archives leave the app only when you choose to export or share them.
Local Storage
My Family 1.0 stores private family content locally on your device by default.
Family Sharing and CloudKit family collaboration are not enabled in this release.
Troubleshooting
If a feature is unavailable:
- Check that your device and iOS version support the feature.
- Check the relevant permissions in iOS Settings.
- Make sure sufficient device storage is available.
- Close and reopen My Family if a temporary system service becomes unavailable.
- Restart the device if the problem continues.
Optional AI functionality may be unavailable on unsupported devices or when the corresponding Apple system capability is unavailable. Your core saved family memories do not depend on those optional AI features.

Please see the My Family Privacy Policy for information about local storage, media, AI processing, personalized voice, exports, and data deletion.

When reporting a technical problem, please describe the issue, your device model, iOS version, and the steps that caused the problem.
Please do not send private family memories, recordings, Voice References, passwords, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary to resolve your support request.
